The J230M with its enhanced structure is available immediately and complies with the current Light Sport Aircraft requirements as well as the anticipated new Mosaic requirements.
The great benefit is once MOSAIC becomes effective your aircraft can be upgraded to the full 1675 lbs gross weight, and you can add the two extra seats!
At Jabiru we’ll make your dollar fly further. Apart from the purchase cost of the aircraft, the J230 is designed to keep your operating costs as low as possible. With an aircraft that is simple to maintain, reliable and durable, your maintenance costs will stay low and we keep plenty of spare parts and expertise in the US to make sure repairs remain available and cost effective.
Jabiru will provide a new Airworthiness Certificate that accommodates the expanded capabilities that MOSAIC provides. As soon as the new regulation and standards are effective, you will be able to bring your plane back to the factory for your new upgraded certificate!
When you acquire your brand new J230-M, you are making an investment into a more capable future.
At delivery, your J230-M will comply with current SLSA standards of 1320 lbs gross weight and 120 knot cruise speed. Once MOSAIC is effective, you can reserve your spot to fly your plane back to us to unlock the MOSAIC capabilities! The recertification process requires an inspection to assure compliance with the new MOSAIC standard. There will be a nominal fee for this.
While your aircraft is in for its rebirth, you may then add the extra two seats, a BRS parachute, and the fuel injection upgrade to the Generation 4 J3300 engine.
*If there are unforeseen requirements that come with the new standard there may be additional fees.
